Photography for me is more than just a still lifeless picture. When you view a photo it helps your imagination run wild. It's like playing a video in your head imagining the who, what and where that was really going on around the photo. Trying to imagine everything that was going on in this exact second in time.
Even when I look at pictures of myself from my childhood it is crazy to think of where I came from and how I turned into the person I'm today. Just looking at old photos makes me wonder "is this person really me!?".
With today's technology it makes it much easier for the most average photographer to begin taking great pictures. Gone are the days of setting up for lengthy periods of time and wasting countless hours developing in a dark room. With one simple click you can see your art right in front of you. Instantly being able to adjust and improve continuously. Never worrying about wasting huge amounts of film it allows me to continually experiment and become better. Just seeing the possibilities and knowing how much I can improve is even more motivating for me to continue on.

All these things combined are the major reasons why I chose to begin my journey as a photographer. Where exactly I will go from here can be anyone's guess. But I will do my best to continue to improve and learn as I go.
